Meet Paige Davis, AKA Peggy Carter

Now Peggy is Paige Davis
Paige grew up the kid of a Jersey cop, the grand-daughter of a Jersey cop, who was the son of a ... fireman, actually, but you get the idea. She always assumed that she, too, would be a cop. She entered the police academy, excelled, literally kicking asses and taking names. She was assigned her first beat and then things started to go wonky. She kept getting passed over for promotions, given duties that none of her male colleagues seemed to get, things like that.
Then there were the comments. That she was too pretty to be a cop. That no one would possibly take her seriously, looking like she did. Despite a great arrest record, plenty of community support, and one half-hearted commendation, (Her partner, male, got most of the praise for that particular bust), she just couldn't seem to advance.
So she decided to take matters in to her own hands. She moved to New York and started a self-defense school. Recently, she's been reaching out to high schools, where she talks to teens about protecting themselves -- and others. She also offers free classes at women's shelters and gets the word out any way she can.
That includes social media, where she's developed a fairly decent following because she's not afraid 1 - to tell it straight, 2 - to be goofy, and 3 - to engage with any 'mansplainers who come her way.
At 27, she's currently single, but formerly engaged (a fellow cop; it probably wouldn't have gone well, now that she thinks about it), she has to admit she is getting a little tired of her mother asking when she's going to get grandchildren. Paige isn't adverse to being in a relationship, she's just waiting for the right person to come along.
